I want to introduce you to Jordyn from Brockport High School. She is especially athletic and very involved with her school! Jordyn is involved with many clubs and athletics. She plays on the Brockport Blizzards, a travel soccer team, in addition, she is on the Varsity soccer team at school.
She is the co-editor of the school yearbook this year. During the past few years of high school she has been in the Environmental Club. And if that isn’t enough to make your head spin, Jordyn is also a member of the National Honor Society. Students are selected based on four pillars of: scholarship, service, leadership and character.
Unified Basketball Team
During the past three years Jordyn played on the Unified Basketball team at her school. She plans on playing on the team again this year, her final high school year. Students with disabilities (whom are referred to as athletes) to participate on The Unified Basketball, which is a real varsity team. They hold practices and the students participate at actual games. This team allows these students to have the same team atmosphere alongside other athletes, such as Jordyn and be “partner players”. This has been such a life changing experience for Jordyn that it has actually influenced her career path.
Jordyn has been enrolled in the 3-1-3 program at Brockport High School, which is a precursor to college classes. She will be taking Honors English, Honors Government and Economics and Spanish 5. Jordyn has so much going on this year! But I know she will excel in anything she puts her mind to. After graduation from Brockport High School Jordyn plans on pursuing an Occupational Therapy degree.
I had such a great time capturing Jordyn at Hamlin Beach State Park! The weather was just gorgeous and just the right amount of wind! Jordyn is such a beautiful young woman and I am sure will succeed in anything she puts her mind to!
