Churchville-Chili Class of 2019- Meet Lilly

A Foggy morning in Churchville-Chili

It was extremely foggy (and chilly) the morning I met Lilly and her mom to do Lilly’s senior pictures. We met at the football field at Churchville-Chili Schools.  Foggy weather didn’t stop us, and soon the sun decided to join us and burn off the fog. Lilly wanted to meet on the football field because she is on the Cheerleading Squad at Churchville-Chili High School.

Cheerleading

Lilly has been cheering for more than half her life! She started cheerleading 11 years ago and has numerous medals and awards to show for it. She is the captain of the Varsity Cheer Team, twice she was Varsity MVP, and 3 times she was 1stteam, all county! She is also a Sectional and Monroe County Champion cheerleader.

National Honors Society

It is such an achievement being the President of the National Honors Society and Link Crew . Lilly holds the title of Secretary for her senior class. As well as taking several pre-college courses this year; AP Statistics, AP Calculus BC, IB (International Baccalaureate) Spanish, IB Psychology, and IB English. I truly don’t see how she has time for everything!

Working and School

In addition to all her academics and cheerleading activities, Lilly also works part-time at a local McDonalds. And when she’s not doing that, she volunteers at Strong Memorial Hospital. This is not surprising to me, as she wants to attend a 4 year college (out of state somewhere!) to get her licensing to practice as a Physician’s Assistant. She has set her goals high – but I know she will get there. Lilly seems like a very determined young woman.

On her way

So much wrapped up in a beautiful young woman! It was truly a pleasure to work with Lilly! In the short time that I was with her, she seemed to be a very generous and warm person. Good luck to you, Lilly in wherever life leads you.
